Bio

Stelios Papakosmidis

Stelios Papakosmidis is a composer of Greek decent who is fascinated with his job. He scores passionately for media and video games.

Born and raised in a family of musicians, he grew up listening to classical music and developed early a particular love for Bach and Beethoven.

He studied accordion before choosing the piano as his main instrument. His studies in composition under Dr. Joseph Papadatos enriched his classical and modern musical education by immersing him in the world of Stravinsky, Debussy and Ligetti. He would later develop his own composition style encompassing classical, rock, pop and electronic sounds.

Throughout the early part of his career, he worked as session piano and keyboard player performing alongside the most renowned Greek artists. Later, he assumed positions as music director.

His love for composition led him to pursue a career in media composition. Obtaining a Master's degree in Media Composition, offered by Thinkspace education and under the aegis of the University of Bournemouth, England was his first step towards his goal. Writing and orchestrating intensively for film and games followed. He is currently committed to producing high quality music in a short space of time.

He also owns a music school, the ''Major Music House'', specialising in performing arts. He enjoys teaching the piano and composition classes.

What he loves the most is working on challenging projects with cool tools and nice, creative people.
